Trade program

Studio Castel operates within a framework of precision and exclusivity, serving a network of professionals who engage with materiality through deliberate intent. Our trade/designer program is not an invitation—it is a qualification, reserved for those whose practice demands the rigor of curation and the discipline of selection. This is not a catalog; it is a register of possibilities, each entry vetted for its alignment with the aesthetic and technical parameters of 1970s-era design.

Who Qualifies

Eligibility is determined by professional discipline and demonstrated engagement with the specific materiality we represent. The program is open to:

Memo Samples

Access to our inventory begins with a formal request for memo samples, a process designed to ensure alignment between our offerings and the client’s vision. Each sample is dispatched in a neutral, unembellished format, accompanied by a technical specification sheet detailing composition, scale, and application methods. Samples are non-returnable and non-refundable, reflecting the irreversible nature of material commitment.

Lead Times

Production timelines are structured to accommodate the complexity of our inventory. Standard lead times for ordered materials range from 4 to 6 weeks, with expedited options available for urgent requirements. All timelines are confirmed prior to order placement, with no deviation permitted once the process is initiated.

Terms

Trade accounts are extended to qualified professionals under a NET-30 payment structure, contingent upon verification of credentials and a minimum order threshold. All transactions are processed through a secure, encrypted platform, with invoices issued in duplicate to ensure clarity and accountability. Non-compliance with agreed terms results in immediate suspension of access.

Custom-Print Availability

Custom-print options are considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by our curatorial team. Proposals must include a detailed rationale for deviation from our existing inventory, along with technical specifications for the proposed material. Custom-print requests are evaluated for feasibility, cost, and alignment with our core principles, with no guarantee of acceptance.

Parent Relationship

Studio Castel operates as a specialized division of Designer Wallcoverings, an entity established in 1996 and dedicated to the preservation and proliferation of material legacy. Our parent organization provides the infrastructure for our curatorial focus, ensuring access to a depth of stock, rigorous quality control, and a direct line of communication with a human representative. This relationship enables us to maintain the integrity of our niche while adhering to the operational standards of a long-standing industry presence.
